Weekend Fun

I went a whole week with practically no make-up and let me tell you I felt pretty ugly by Saturday. When Sunday came around I couldn't wait to do my make-up...I know I am sick right! But this morning when I got up and looked in the mirror and thought "Hey pretty lady...your dark circles are disappearing!" Maybe it is because I am not focusing on that area as much, but I truly thought that I am looking better make-up free.

Anyway...we had a wonderful weekend: Friday we cooked out with friends, laughed, and played with their children. Saturday we helped a family clean and move, and then we went on a "Parade of Homes" with some friends. Ryan and I loved looking at homes and decorations so it was a treat to see some creative and not so creative ideas, as well as, dream of the day when we have our very own home with children. We decided that we want to have the home that our children’s friends want to play in and be at, mainly for supervision, but also because we would love to be a part of our non-existent teenagers lives.

That evening I went shopping with my dear friend Ola who is moving in a couple of weeks and I just want to cry about it! I got some great deals on lotions, body sprays, and some light sweaters for the fall. I also spent some birthday money on some running shorts. By the time we were done shopping there was a major storm outside and we got soaked unloading my car. Sunday was wonderful as well. My sunbeams (3-4 year olds kids) decided that they would bark all of the primary songs. I couldn’t help but laugh and want to bark along. I tried telling them to be reverent but they just couldn’t help barking and tickling their way through Sharing Time! Eventually they focused for a bit and then church was over. After church I baked baguettes and may some yummy artichoke dip. We headed over to a friends home chatted, munched, and played Carcassonne (we love this game). Overall it was a great weekend.

What did I tell you? ;) Wish my weekend was as good as yours - it's crunchtime here. I love hearing about what's going on with you - keep it coming! What's Carcassone?
