“You must begin by accepting the fact that you are what you are, and then setting to work to be the very best you can be. You are a thinking, communicating, choice, eternal child of God. You are free to choose, to dream, to plan, free to work, to learn, to grow. Because you are who you are and what you are, your ceiling is unlimited. Your objective is to know yourself, value yourself, improve yourself, share yourself, be yourself. Start now to teach and to achieve. There won’t be a better time.”

Elder Marion D. Hanks

That is really a beautiful quote. I needed to read that! Thank you for sharing

Very Eloquent. I think I will copy that and hang it where I'll see it everyday. The two parts I have trouble with still to this day are valueing (sp?) and sharing. What about you?

Love.

This quote was what I needed yesturday as well. So often I feel that I am not as atractive as those magazine models, or not smart...and the list continues, but thoughts like that are self defeating and don't acknowledge all the wonderful things I am. How great it would be if when we openned a fashion magazine or looked at other women we think: "Man she is beautiful, and I have beautiful hair!" Instead of I am ugly. My problem is is definately sharing myself and valueing who I am for what I am. Jess I would have to say that I can see that you resist sharing yourself but that is a protective in its own way and understandable...but I would never guess that you lack some self-value...not all but some.

You are amazing and How is school going! I am so curious!

my favorite line of ANY song, hands down is from the "Everyone Should Wear Sunscreen" song. . .the line goes like this. .

AHEM

"Don't look a beauty magazines, they will only make you feel ugly!"

Interestingly enough, I have always been envious of your looks! You are beautiful and many people think so. You hav amaxing hair, even when it is a rats-nest (and I have seen it that way. . ) and you have beautiful skin and amazing eyes! I've always wanted a part of your Puerto Rican-ness.

Live it up girl. you are beautiful
