Rhymes

As you may already notice I am not too into bugs setting up camp in my house. So, I have set the trap for the fruit flies and nothing yet, but I will let you know.

A couple of months ago, I set up a trap to vacuum a huge spider under our dishwasher, I was screaming with fright and after keeping watch of the dishwasher for an hour the spider, never came out again! After telling my dad this story, he wrote me a little rhyme (he was always great at telling stories):

At night when she was fast asleep,
upon her bed it came to creep
Long hairy legs and bulgding eyes,
moved swift ahead to where she lie
And though she turned from side to side,
asleep she could not run nor hide
And Ryan? Where was Ryan dear?
Perhaps the bathroom, somewear near
At last his footsteps echoed then,
and with a leap he snuggled in
Too bad for things so small and black,
for Ryan's leap has squished it flat!

Have you seen the Bond where a villain puts a poisonous tarantula in his bed? This made me think of that.

Very nice!! Great poem... We always got rid of fruit flies by using the vaccuum hose and then leaving it on an extra minute or so, so they couldn't fly back out. Worked for us! :)
