Yesturday I was making some Puerto Rican food, I had 2 pots on the stove, and a cake in the oven, when all of a sudden I could smell burning plastic. We looked all over the house and found nothing. Then I looked at the stove and it was blinking like a disco ball in a night club. After which the dance party ended, the lights faded, and the party was over! I left the cake in the oven in hopes it would finish baking, took the food to a neighbors to finish cooking - all while Ryan tried to see what happened. Now, the oven is in a coma and we are debating whether we should take it to the hospital. Fortunately the caked turned out and dinner was great. The oven has an appointment later this week and hopefully it learned its lesson about disco parties!

It looked better than it tasted

Well, looks like a great excuse to visit! We have to find out about your spring break and suz...otherwise I'm definitely coming to visit!!!
I feel your pain - our oven crapped out about a month ago, and we had to replace both elements - but it ended up being a good thing cause it used to be about 200 degrees off (no kidding) - and now we actually have an accurate temp reading! Yay! Life's small pleasures, right?
Oh - jess, I am so happy to hear from you. We ended up paying 200 to fix ours as well. It was not fun!
