Brazil - Day 7 - Anniversary

Today we were tourists. We enjoyed fresh papaya for breakfast, bread and cheese. We took the a train to the top of Corcovado to the Redeemer Statue. A taxi to the Sambadromo and tried on the costumes from Carnival. We then took the metro back to the mall in Botafogo and looked at the shops. For lunch we had some traditional fried brazillian food. We still were not tired so off to Pao de Acucar. Unfortunately the gondala was being fixed so we couldn't go all the way to the top. We enjoyed taking a few photos then back into the taxi to Copacobana. We started at the very end and walked our way to dinner about 4 miles to Carretão for a rodizio style anniversary dinner. Along the way we saw an amazing sand castle. The weather was perferct. It was an incredible day and has been a wonderful 8 years!
