Tradition, Traditions!

Happy Easter!

Something that Ryan and I have talked about throughout our marriage are traditions: Like, what one's do we bring and share with each other from when we were kids and what ones do we create in our new family. For instance, we have very dear friends who live across the street and we have known them for 5 years. Well, before I get side tracked they now have two cute kids who we play with often. One tradition they have as a family is Cereal Sunday. Every Sunday they each get to pick out their favorite sugary cereal for dinner and that is what they eat! What a fun tradition...I don't know where it came from, but I want traditions like that in my family.

So how does this tie into Easter, well "what traditions are we going to do?". Easter egg hunt - definitely, new church clothes - maybe, camping with a family testimony meeting at sunrise - why not! What traditions do you love from your family or would like have in the future?

(btw The title comes from Fiddler on the Roof and when you read it you must do it the way Tevye and company do)

I am a firm believer in the grilled cheese sandwich and chocolate milk for lunch on Sundays tradition. Nothing better than that!

I'm not too fond of the whole carve the pumpkin activity, so we make large batches of rice crispy treats dyed orange. We form them into large pumpkins and decorate them with candy. The kids can eat them after.

I love new easter clothes, especially matching the kids. There really is meaning behind wearing something brand new, clean and fresh on Easter! It is a special day, honoring our Lord!
