I did it!

Okay, so I did it. I registered for my first MARATHON! That is right I plan on running 26.2 miles on the first day of November this year. I am scared out of my mind and very excited as well. I love running - it is a challenge and something that I can always work at. I love planning my training runs, setting goals, and then reaching those goals. Sometimes it is so hard to get up and go but I tell myself "Don't worry about finishing the race in November, worry about today and what you need to do to be successful for the finish line!" That is how I get through my runs, that is how I got through the last two years of 3 jobs, school, and volunteering at my church.

What are the marathons in your life? Are you getting up and training? What can you do today to get closer to being ready to pass the finish line?

I have several marathons in my life, although they don't involve my running shoes, that I want to finish whether if it is becoming more perfect in Christ or becoming a mother. When I feel discouraged I remember that today I can work a little harder, get a little closer, and plan to do better tomorrow. Eventually I will have the skills I need to cross that finish line.

Be successful today!

Juls, One of my most favorite people (Sister P.) always said to "take on an 'I WILL' attitude" and that is exactly what you do! You are awesome and I know you will do it!

Yeah - I do have to admit, I am jealous... hearing about anyone running a marathon is like a toothpick in the heart... but I know you are going to rock it! I wish you the best of luck! My marathons - motherhood, and being a wife of a law student.

Awesome! As always, you are an inspiration to me - you continuously show strength and will - I love that about you.

My marathons - marriage, motherhood, school, yoga practice, biking (STP).

Love.
