Bad Dreams

Have you ever woken up after an uncomfortable dream: You feel sick, yucky, and wish images and thoughts just left your mind! Well earlier this week I had that very thing happen to me I woke up completely rested except I was tormented by an awful dream. I took a deep breath and tried to forget it. Unfortunately, it didn't go away...the only thing I could think about was "ahhh get out of my head" So after a long day I found myself back in bed trying to fall asleep...except I didn't want to have the same dream again. Immediately I thought "I need to read the scriptures"

Oh...it was amazing how quickly I calmed, the horrible memory of the dream left and I was able to find rest. I am so thankful for the words of Christ, for the Prophets that wrote them, and for those who brought them forth in the scriptures. I love God for knowing that I would need his words to calm my thoughts!

2 Nephi 22:2-6: Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid; for the Lord Jehovah is my strength and my song; he also has become my salvation. Therefore, with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.
And in that day shall ye say: Praise the Lord, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted. Sing unto the Lord; for he hath done excellent things; this is known in all the earth. Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion; for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee.

I had the most horrible nightmare involving the Sheriff a few months ago and it haunted me for days. If only I had found that scripture then... good one to keep in mind. Thanks.

Love.
