Graduating

So...I graduated Saturday with a Masters of Science in Counseling and Counselor Education. What this means is that if I lived in WA I would be done with the schooling needed for Licensure as a Mental Health Counselor. But where I live now requires about 6 more classes ... so I am continueing my education for one more year and at the end of that year I will have another degree called an Education Specialty and I will be license eligible. What that means is I am done with my master's and not with my education...arg! The good news is that I will be qualified to do the work that I will be doing.

Graduation was wonderful! We had 4 house guests (2 were graduating as well) and we spent our time chatting and hanging out. We did the large ceremony thing and the school specific ceremony. They both were enjoyable and I got to wear my robe a little longer -- I wanted to get my $64 out of it! It was sunny and warm and we really had a blast. That night we went to a BBQ with friends and spent our time laughing and talking. The day went by really fast and I am glad that I did something to celebrate. I was not going to but last week I decided to becuase ...HEY! It isn't everyday you get a master's. Well I should be working right now...bye.
