Frozen Pipes

Our guest bathroom pipes are frozen! Yes for the past 3 days the toliet has not been working. So now we have are heater at 74 degrees and the cabinets and doors open in that room. This morning I sat with a blow dryer trying to heat up the pipes. My only prayer is that the pipes don't burst!

That happened to us with our kitchen pipes when we had the big freeze. Luckily, we have this handy heater that's just perfect for the problem. We set it up under the sink and just have it blow hot air till the water comes back on. We're pretty sure it happens because the kitchen sink pipes are the only ones that are galvanized - all our other plumbing has been replaced with copper. You might try propping the blow dryer so you can leave it there for an hour or so...

Love.

P.S. If your pipes are burst, you will have a telltale leak in the crawlspace...
