On Saturday I had to work for the office. They were having an induction ceremony for accepted teacher education majors. I pretty much just smiled and handed programs out to sleepy faced families and students. At 9:00 AM breakfast was served! I patiently waited for everyone to finish so I could go "clean up". Gladly, I examined the area with my fellow coworker and we thought of what to eat. There was all sorts of bagels, pastries, and cream cheeses, as catered by the Scholars Inn Bakehouse. Oh it was all too good! I just grabbed a little of everything including a dallop of Apricot Jam.It was heavenly! I had forgotten how wonderful jams can be! What a delicious treat that is all too often unrelished. With that I filled a grande coffee cup with yummy apricot jam so I could enjoy for the next month or so (and yes I am that tacky!).
My good friend had givin me some pear jam and Ryan made some strawberry preserves this last summer. I have been waiting for a special treat to spread the pear jam on. So, now I plan on having a Scone party! Then I will have a Short Bread Party! Of course that will be followed by crumpets and cake, afterwhich, I will bathe myself in jam's, jellies, and preserves!

i love the new look on your blog! It's really cool and fresh! :) Enjoy your pear jam... :)
The best apricot jam I've ever had was this jar that my sister brought home from Paris... man, was it good! Though I have to say I love plum preserves the very best. I made some this summer with the plums that grow on my MIL's trees. DS absolutely adores it!
Love.
