Red Lights and Nauvoo Potatoes

So in order to get to the North side of town where Cassacade Park, the Church, and all things down town are; Ryan and I have to drive through 9 stop lights! All about two blocks apart. Depending on the day this can be a good thing: if I need to do my make up I get 9 stops to apply (stop one eyeshadow, two concealer, three blush, four eyeliner, five mascara). But usually I get all greens - all the way so these lights don't bother me too much. On the other hand, every time Ryan drives he gets red light after red light after red light. With each light he gets angier and kurt! I can't help but laugh as his ears turn red
and he yells "oh come on!"

Friday night we were on our way to a church picnic. I had made my favorite cheesy Nauvoo Potatoes for the potluck and was dying with hunger...oooooooohhhhh they are so good (Ryan's moms recipe). Normally Ryan would drive but I decided to, so we could avoid the red lights that he normally gets, unfortunately his curse rubbed off on me and I got every red light! And of course Ryan got upset...(not livid - he was just cursing all the darn lights). This conversation then followed:

Juliana: You know these lights are here to teach you patience
Ryan: Then why are you getting all the reds?
Juliana: Well, there lots of fun things to do at red lights!
Ryan: Like what?
Juliana: Like pretending you are swimming in yummy warm Nauvoo Potatoes (pretending to swim with my mouth open chomping on potatoes)
Ryan: You're crazy!
Juliana: Ohhhh hot potatoes....What could you pretend while at a red light?
Ryan: That it's green!

Alan has the same red light curse. I also find it funny how frustrated he gets!
