Vitameatavegamin

"Spoon Your Way to Health"

Working full-time, school full-time, and everything else full-time has made for some interesting meals and I need to be clever about eating because I don't have time to cook.

Monday: Sunday left-overs (Lunch and Dinner)

Tuesdays: frozan burrito, eggroll and/or whatever I can find in the kitchen at work - most recently I made really bad mac and cheese

Wednesdays: Today I had a can of tuna with crackers and chips - yum... Dinner, I will probably run to a fast food place

....and the rest of the week is usually a surprise.

The problem is I don't prepare meals the night before. I am just too tired!! Not to mention severely malnutritioned! So, now I am taking vitamins to supplement what I am not getting in my diet. I hate them!!! Just the thought of them gives me a headache and a puking feeling in my stomach. Even this morning as I popped one after another in my mouth I couldn't help but cringe, YUCK!

Even when you have a well balanced meal you are still susceptible to the fast-food/sweets beast within. The only difference is, right now you don't have a choice and that is what bugs you...but I love you anyway.

FYI - make sure you're drinking a glass of milk or some-such with those vitamins! You're body won't be able to absorb alot of those nutrients without a little (little being the keyword) fat intake at the same time.... Maybe you and Ryan should think about paying for something like Dinner's Ready! - do you have something like that in Indiana? A few of the moms I go to playgroup with swear by it, and they say it's not that expensive.

Thank you for the advice! I do usually have some milk with my vitamins -Yuck. Dinner's Ready huh? Will, I just need to buck up and be prepared.

But don't drink milk with your iron because calcium counteracts it. A good mulitvitamin will have more iron than calcium or more calcium than iron. If it's iron, don't drink it with milk. Drink your milk and take your calcium in the morning; take your vitamins/iron with dinner and water.

If you take your vitimin at night, you will not be as sick :-)
